In June 2013, we rebranded from EPL (Elnental Properties Limited) to Emerald Properties. We chose Emerald Properties as our new name because it reflects the luxury homes that we create. An Emerald is a rare and precious stone: beautiful, elegant and prestigious; an emerald possesses the same qualities our customers know they will find when they buy an Emerald Home. Emeralds are also found in many countries in Africa, reflecting our Ghanaian roots and our pan-African ambitions. HARRY QUARTEY

As founder and Chief Executive Officer of Emerald Properties, Harry leads the management team to achieve Emerald’s vision of becoming the premier developer of world-class properties in Africa. Harry has a wealth of experience in the areas of banking, real estate and ICT. Prior to setting up Emerald (then Elnental Properties Limited), Harry was the Business Development Director of Intercom Data Network (IDN), an ICT company based in Accra and Maryland. Previous positions include Head of Construction Finance at HFC Bank Ghana Limited and Investment Accountant at PNC Bank in Delaware, USA. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, USA and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from the University of Hartford in the USA.

Non Executive Director

FRANK SEKYERE TAWIAH

Frank is the CEO of Core Afrique Investment Ltd, an Investment Advisory/ Consultancy and Chairman of Spintex Inn, a boutique hotel in Accra. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute. He has a Life Insurance License from the Ontario Insurance Commission, a Canadian Securities Course Certification from the Canadian Securities Institute and is a Registered Representative of the Toronto Stock Exchange. Frank is an Investment Analyst and Advisor to promoters of project finance and Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects in Ghana. Frank serves as a Non-Executive Director of a number of SMEs in the Timber, Financial Services, Oil Marketing, Hospitality and NGO industries. He was an instructor of the Ghana Stock Exchange Securities Course Programme and a former adjunct lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada.
